White Gold Corp Intersects High Grade Gold in Yukon, Expanding Near Surface Gold Zone
White Gold Corp, a Canadian gold exploration company, recently announced a highly-favorable set of drill results from its Betty Ford Target in the White Gold District of the Yukon Territory. The drilling results exceeded expectations, revealing up to 5.03 g/t gold over 25 m depth.
The Betty Ford Target is located just 6 km southeast of the company’s JP Ross property. White Gold Corp has spent the last two years exploring the Betty Ford Target with a goal of significantly expanding its near-surface gold zone.
By drilling 3 sets of 10 drillholes to an average depth of 175 m, White Gold Corp successfully achieved its exploration goals. Nine of the ten drillholes successfully intersected gold mineralization, with one drill hole intersecting 5.17 g/t gold over 25 m depth.
White Gold Corp has successfully expanded the near surface gold zone by 50%, after intersecting 2.96 g/t gold over 46.5 m depth. This indicates a sizeable gold resource potential at the Betty Ford Target.
The White Gold District is well-known for its past gold production and mining history, making this news highly encouraging for White Gold Corp. The Lac du Loup Gold Mine, in the White Gold District, previously produced 148,601 ounces of gold for a revenue of over $26 million CAD.
White Gold Corp’s President and CEO, David D’Onofrio comments on the news, “These results demonstrate the tremendous potential of the Betty Ford Target, both near surface and at depth, and demonstrate the potential for significant expansion of our extensive district-scale land package.”
White Gold Corp will continue to explore the Betty Ford zone and develop further resources at the White Gold District. This news brings White Gold Corp one step closer to its goal of becoming one of the premier gold exploration and development companies in the area.
