In this position she has been able to play an instrumental role in implementing progressive policy initiatives that will shape the future of California labor laws. Now, with her appointment to US Senator for the State of California, Laphonza Butler is presented with a unique opportunity to bring her firsthand knowledge of labor issues to Washington, DC. Her experience in labor and government circles will be a valuable asset as she looks to establish justice for working people throughout the United States.
