Greenlane Renewables Announces $35.3 Million System Supply Contract in Brazil
Clean energy company Greenlane Renewables has announced the signing of a new $35.3 million supply contract for a biogas upgrading and methane (CH4) capture system in Brazil. The contract is part of a larger initiative that will increase the output of biogas-powered electricity generation in the country.
The contract will be for three years and will contribute to the deployment of the Tupã Renewable Energy Park, located inRBSP. The park will be the largest anaerobic digestion plant in Brazil and will raise the output of electricity from biogas in the region. The facility will also capture methane from the biogas produced at the plant, ensure its efficient use and provide carbon credits.
Greenlane Renewables is providing its ProvenCH4 technology for this project. The technology uses a unique combination of membranes and chemical absorbers to capture methane produced from the anaerobic digestion process. This helps improve efficiency of the biogas-powered electricity production.
The company has already implemented its ProvenCH4 technology in over 350 biogas systems worldwide. This includes a 15-year-old partnership in Brazil that has already been revolutionizing the way biogas systems are managed and operated. The company is proud to be part of this latest energy initiative which will help in the shift from traditional sources of energy to renewable sources.
The Tupã Renewable Energy Park project is an example of how renewable energy can be utilized to help countries around the world meet their clean energy targets. With its expertise and technology, Greenlane Renewables hopes to be a leader in this new energy economy in Brazil and around the globe.
