Over 4.8 million blenders, four different models sold at Costco, Target, and Walmart, have been recalled due to the risk of fire and laceration, the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced.
The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) announced today a recall of 4.8 million blenders, four different models sold at Costco, Target, and Walmart, due to the risk of fire and laceration reports Godzillanews.
The recall involves Nutribullet blenders, with models number 600, Pro 900, RX, and the Nutrininja blenders. According to the CPSC, the blender’s motor could overheat and pose a risk of burning and fires. Additionally, the blender’s blade base can break, posing a risk of laceration.
Consumers are advised to stop using the recalled blenders immediately and contact Nutribullet for instructions on how to receive a free replacement blade. Consumers may not be sure that their product is affected by the recall unless they have the model numbers. The model numbers, which can be found on the bottom of the blender, are as follows:
• 600: 13225, 17043, 17057, 17061, 17063, 18068
• Pro900: 17092, 17094, 17097, 17098, 17099, 17112
• RX: 17041 17042,17053, 17062, 17071, 17095, 17096
• NutriNinja: 17305, 17006, 17008
